At the heart of OPT-IN is a commitment to making a meaningful impact — not just within our industry, but in the communities we serve. This year, we’re proud to support Youth Assistance Coalition (YAC), a San Diego nonprofit dedicated to ending youth homelessness through empowerment, mentorship and community collaboration. Founded in 2017, YAC is driven by volunteers and powered by local partnerships that help vulnerable youth build paths toward long-term stability. 

How to get involved 

On Monday, October 13, you’ll have the opportunity to volunteer with YAC in one of two ways: 

Volunteer onsite (1 pm)

Prep snack bags and welcome kits for local youth. A great option if you prefer to stay at the hotel and still make a meaningful impact. 

Volunteer offsite (12 pm)

Travel to YAC’s headquarters to help with hands-on projects like mopping floors, pulling weeds and other cleanup tasks. Come ready to roll your sleeves and get a little dirty!

Limited to 25 people. Transportation arrangements will be shared closer to the event.
